Job Description:
This homegrown tech NI company is seeking a talented and experienced Senior PHP Software Engineer to join our team in Belfast. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and maintaining large-scale web applications, particularly in PHP. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our core software products, working closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance web applications using PHP, MySQL, and other related technologies.
2. Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex technical problems.
4. Contribute to the design and architecture of our software systems.
5. Lead technical projects and mentor other engineers.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. Extensive experience in developing large-scale web applications using PHP and MySQL.
3. Strong knowledge of modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Zend.
4. Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
5. Strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
6. Experience with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
