The Quality inspector is responsible for inspection of physical and digital artwork and making quality critical decisions.
Your Responsibilities:
* Inspection/proof reading of pharma artworks such as Carton, Label, Leaflet, Foil, Tube, Pouches against supplied artwork or example file to client specifications and instructions detailed on the job docket.
* Comply with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Work Instructions as detailed on Training Records and training Matrixes.
* Verify the necessary operator checks and ensure documentation has been completed accurately.
* Clearly communicate with operators and production management on the status of products.
* Work to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Standards.
* Highlight potential issues/non-conformances to both the production and quality departments.
* Ensure the security of digital information by complying with the appropriate SOPs and highlighting any potential issues to the IT Manager.
* Update Quality Records, as detailed in the appropriate SOPs.
* Ensure all parts are inspected within the time allocated and within strict quality guidelines.
* Inspection of hard copy and soft copy proofs to client’s specification.
* Accurate and clear completion of all necessary Quality Documentation.
* Comply with Perigord centralized Global Quality Management System.
Preferred Qualifications, Training and Experience
* Diploma in Artwork/Designing or relevant field.
* 1 to 6 years of experience in a professional QC role, preferably in the pharmaceutical domain or prepress industry.
* Experience in quality control (QC) processes in the pharmaceutical domain or prepress industry.
* Proven track record of effectively managing teams and ensuring quality standards are met.
* Familiarity with artwork/designing processes and software applications such as Illustrator and Acrobat.
* Must have knowledge of pantone and process colours and experience of checking colour separations and overprinting.
* Experience with text verification and pixel comparison applications like Content Compare, ePR, TVT & GlobalVision (GV) etc is essential.
* Strong knowledge of Technical Specifications/Keylines/Die lines/Cutter guides.
* Strong knowledge of Laetus/Pharma codes, point of sale codes like EAN13, QR codes etc.
* Strong knowledge of varnish and varnish free areas and Braille requirements.
* Strong team management skills.
