Sales and Project Support Engineer - Ireland
Reporting into the Business Line Manager, you will be contributing to the profitable growth of the Atlas Copco Compressor business through the assisting and supporting the management of sales contracts and projects. The role covers all the company’s product ranges including compressors, blowers, chillers, air treatment products and control systems and includes the project management of packages assembled either internally at our factories or at an external supplier.
The role:
Contribute to the effective running of projects for packaged equipment to ensure they meet client and contract requirements, documentation management, program, quality and safety.
Assist sales engineers with the preparation and management of documentation required for sales and tender processes.
Support Project Engineer with the creation and management of post-order documentation packages, ensuring all documents are accurately maintained in documentation management systems, managing time and productivity while working on multiple projects at the same time.
Work closely with Sales Engineers to manage small oil-free sales, including tracking updates, shipment and delivery status, and preparing standard documentation packages.
Maintain constant communication with Sales Engineers to highlight any changes or variations to the project, ensuring timely delivery as per customer requirements.
Support coordination of the dispatch, delivery, unloading and installation of the company’s products with customers, installers and the sales team as necessary.
Provide project reports on both large and small oil free projects as required.
Support Project Engineer and Sales Engineers by communicating with clients/customers about project updates, changes and support resolving any issues or queries relating to the contract management in a timely and professional manner, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned.
Ensure all documentation provided meets company standards and customer requirements, conducting regular reviews and updates as necessary.
Attend customer meetings with the Sales Engineer and Project Engineer, supporting tasks and ensuring all customer requirements are understood and met.
Undertake ad-hoc project work as required.
To succeed, you will need:
Have an understanding and an ability to apply engineering principles and judgement.
Have an understanding of sales and project management principles and how to effectively organise and support a project.
Have high level of written presentation skills with an eye for detail.
Have an understanding of technically and commercially detailed contracts.
Have excellent communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
Be adept in the use of Microsoft packages, particularly Project, Excel, Word.
Be able to occasionally travel to client sites within the Ireland
