AXA Partners are looking for a positive and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the Technical Finance & Regulatory Tribe within AXA Partners CLP IT team. You will join a team of diverse, skilled, and experienced Business Analysts where the role requires a motivated individual with a proven track record for delivering within an agile environment.
The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with the Product Manager, Software Engineering Manager, Product Owner, Squads, and IT technical teams to deliver on the Product backlog as determined by the Product vision & roadmap.
The role sits within CLP IT and reports to the Product Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Product Manager, Software Engineering Manager, Product Owners, business and technical teams, both on site and off-shore, to translate high-level business requirements into detailed User Stories and functional specifications.
- Liaise with the Product Owners, developers, and testers in the Product Squad to ensure correct requirements, test, and acceptance criteria.
- Act as scrum master during Agile ceremonies with Product Owners and business stakeholders.
- Support change requirements through impact analysis and change specifications.
- Support the Tribe & BA Community of Practice to enhance business analysis processes.
- Assist the Product Owner in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how they are integrated with other processes.
- Manage the end-to-end change process, including supporting the implementation of new/changed systems to ensure timely and quality outputs.
- Investigate and resolve user problems to minimize disruption, including Level 3 production break fix issues.
- Mentor other business analysts, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Participate in and lead client workshops and meetings.
- Manage large business & IT changes for strategic priorities across multiple entities & products.
- Cover or step in for the IT Product Manager when required.
- Report updates to Senior Management on key initiatives.
Your Profile
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years experience in Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies, including integration with external systems.
- Business Analysis Qualification and/or Scrum certification.
- Experience in Agile environments, including running Kanban & Scrum boards.
- Experience in financial services, with good knowledge of insurance processes.
- Proven ability to elicit information and produce deliverables under tight deadlines.
- Strong negotiation skills to find win-win solutions and challenge the status quo.
- Effective planning and organization skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical thinking to translate business needs into IT solutions.
- Ability to work independently, taking responsibility for delivery.
- Ownership and initiative to ensure results and resolutions.
