It implements policies, processes, and technology to reduce risk in alignment with business priorities. Cybersecurity is a fast-changing discipline that applies to every single employee and is a critical concern for our customers.
Information Security Project Manager Responsibilities
As an Information Security Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Security Organization’s projects are managed consistently and efficiently. Projects should be planned in a business-appropriate manner to ensure successful on-time delivery using available resources and capacity.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will:
* Be skilled at building strong working relationships and influencing both internal and external partners at all levels.
* Have passion, convictions, and the ability to encourage passion in others.
* Possess outstanding interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
* Demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple projects/priorities and report project details to management.
* Be hyper-organized and capable of juggling all project data and task-tracking.
* Have experience working with project tracking software (e.g., JIRA, EazyBI).
* Be enthusiastic about identifying areas where automation can replace manual work.
* Be comfortable operating in a small, dynamic, fast-growing team and able to be self-sufficient with a can-do attitude.
* Be skilled at communicating across a diverse set of technical and non-technical teams.
* Have knowledge of technology development best practices (such as Agile).
* Be hungry to expand knowledge of new domains in all areas of our business.
Position Expectations
The Information Security Project Manager will:
* Maintain excellence of project governance with internal and customer stakeholders.
* Partner with Information Security leadership and internal customers to identify and report requirements, issues, and opportunities.
* Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills using data and metrics.
* Work across cross-functional teams to deliver large, complex IT solutions.
* Ensure effective communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical aspects.
* Act as the glue between Information Security teams and internal customers.
Success Measures
In 3 months, you will fully understand the Information Security Organization’s goals, current priorities, and project management methods. In 6 months, you will assist with InfoSec project management and help update processes based on feedback. In 12 months, you will recommend and implement process improvements within the Security Organization.
