Accounts Payable Officer, Finance
Location: Dublin
Contract: Part-time, Permanent
The purpose of this role is to ensure that suppliers are paid efficiently and promptly.
What You Will Do
1. Work within the framework of the overall objectives of Focus Ireland.
2. Work within the finance department and assist the finance team as required.
3. Take ownership of a profile of suppliers, ensuring invoices are approved and suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
4. Preparation of accurate creditor’s reconciliation on a monthly basis in line with agreed deadlines.
5. Adhere to strict month end deadlines for closing off accounts and invoice processing.
6. Ensure Age Creditors listing is managed and maintained.
7. Review Purchase Quotes and Purchase Orders listing generated on Finance system to ensure data is accurate and up to date taking any follow up action as necessary.
8. Support non finance staff on accounts payable and system queries as necessary.
9. Preparation of inter-company and other invoice allocation journals at month end.
10. Assisting with year-end and other funder audit process as required.
11. To attend and contribute to Team and Agency meetings as required.
12. Any other ad hoc duties as agreed with the Heads of Finance and Management Accountants.
What You Will Need
1. Previous experience in a similar role.
2. Excellent organisation skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
3. Ability to work as part of a team which shares a common goal.

6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

10. A general knowledge or experience of working within an NGO or the homeless sector (desirable).
11. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics/Navision/Business Central (desirable).
