Your new role
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating project programmes, ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource allocation.
This role involves working closely with both office-based and site-based staff, contractors, and suppliers to ensure consistency and alignment across all phases of MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and review project programmes at both pre-contract and post-contract stages.
* Generate progress reports and update project schedules and forecasts using software like Microsoft Project or Asta.
* Utilise project management tools to effectively plan and manage project timeframes.
* Collaborate with Estimators to determine the resources needed for projects.
* Create contingency plans to address potential changes in project timelines.
* Meet with contractors and suppliers to discuss and review programme-related issues.
* Coordinate between office and site teams to ensure consistency in programmes and sequencing.
* Develop procurement and design programmes that align with agreed construction timelines.
* Conduct critical reviews of programmes for Extension of Time (EOT) requests, identifying delays, hold-ups, and additional work.
* Maintain a basic understanding of EOT/Compensation Events requirements to ensure accurate programme adjustments.
Requirements
* Approximately 5 years of planning experience.
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
* Proficiency in using planning software such as Asta and Microsoft Project.
* Analytical thinking with a focus on problem-solving.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Persistence, determination, and a results-driven mindset.
* Possession of a valid UK driving licence.
* Knowledge of building services and their sequencing.
