Contracts Manager - Building Envelope
This is a client-facing role in the commercial market for a Contracts Manager to join our team due to significant growth.
Main Responsibilities:
* Attend weekly zoom meetings to report progress and staffing issues.
* Oversee site progress while monitoring output on all aspects of works underway.
* Monitor and report on wastage, develop ways of reducing waste.
* Evaluate and ensure correct products are used in accordance with specifications.
* Review drawings against works being carried out to maintain the scope of works.
* Communicate regularly with Team Members regarding changes or variations of works.
* Capture and agree upon daywork variations with the Main Contractor in writing.
* Meet monthly with the Surveying department to discuss operative outputs.
* Participate in health and safety meetings with Main Contractors to ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures.
* Collaborate with Key Team leads on preconstruction planning aspects.
* Provide assistance to Surveyors, Coordinators, and Site Operatives ensuring materials and equipment are available before commencing work and providing a weekly materials lookahead to the site Coordinator.
* Maintain tools in good order and report any losses, damages, or thefts to the Construction Coordinator.
* Compile Site-Specific method statements and risk assessments for Main Contractors' approval prior to commencing works.
Key Skills:
* At least 5 years of experience in high-value Commercial Curtain Walling.
* Ability to manage multiple contracts effectively.
* Produce strong and reliable progress reports.
* Strong understanding of Building Envelope Quality Standards.
* Effective people management and H&S skills.
