Tool Store Person
Your role
The purpose of this Tool Store Person role is to assist the Hangar & Technical Tooling Manager with the performance of all the duties and responsibilities connected with that role. This role has also been expanded as per below accountabilities/responsibilities.
* Ensure general and aircraft specific tooling is issued and returned to engineers from tool stores in a serviceable condition and fully controlled in accordance with Aer Lingus tool control procedures.
* Maintain the optimisation of our current tool inventory including responsibility for the upkeep, calibration, and mandatory testing of this inventory. This includes in-house testing and maintenance of tools within our allowed scope.
* Ensure tooling has returned from testing efficiently to ensure that we always have the correct tooling available for maintenance tasks.
* Ensure that all inspection/test equipment in use is calibrated to acceptable standards and in calibration.
* Assist with the creation and upkeep of tool databases in AMOS and the monitoring and stock checking of tool stores.
* Maintenance of Hangar 6 tool stores, workshops, hangar and line maintenance facilities.
* Assist with the implementation of Maintenance and Engineering projects using LEAN methodology as part of our progression towards the provision of a “World Class Maintenance Service” with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Maintain in house tool testing capabilities while maintaining a strong focus on costs and coordinate and facilitate internal and external project teams carrying out works on our behalf.
* Represent the company’s interests in dealing with outside contractors and suppliers while possessing a keen commercial awareness and Safety standards.
* Ensure that tools and the tool store locations are maintained in compliance with Health and Safety and good housekeeping standards.
* Liaise with our insurance providers to carry out mandatory statutory inspections of our plant and equipment in accordance with the Health and Safety at work act and action any findings.
* Raising of repair orders for calibration and maintenance of tools and equipment at DUB and outstations.
* Servicing of Nitrogen filling units to support line maintenance with a continuous supply of nitrogen and Assist with the management of our vehicle fleet to ensure vehicles are always serviceable and in good order.
* Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement projects within the greater line maintenance department.
* Assist the Hangar & Technical Tooling Manager as required and to provide the required services in his absence.
Your qualifications and key criteria
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Eligible to live and work in the EU.
* Current unrestricted worldwide passport.
* Provide 3 verifiable references.
* Full unrestricted driving licence.
* Able to pass a 5-year enhanced security background check.
* Well-developed IT skills with broad system/IT knowledge: Microsoft Outlook / Word / Excel / AMOS.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
* Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable with a positive attitude and excellent organisational skills.
* Proven technical ability with a good aptitude for technical tasks and logical problem solving.
* Well-developed computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Prepared to adopt a hands-on flexible approach while working on your own initiative and as part of a team.
* Understanding of calibration principles.

Desirable criteria
A knowledge of the AMOS Maintenance System.
A level of understanding of the management of tool control systems IAW EASA Part 145 Tools & Equipment.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and strong technical knowledge of tooling & equipment.
Aircraft towing approved to assist with maintenance movements to/from hangar 6.
Forklift operator certificate.
MEWP operator Certificate.
