You will work with leading companies in this space and directly with the engineering teams within Amazon developing these new capabilities.
Overview:
The AWS Support team is seeking engineers that enjoy solving problems, working with customers, and have a strong technical background in application management and software development including SSM, Cloud Formation, Python, and at least one popular programming language. Do you have experience as a Systems Administrator working with Linux or Windows, and understand the advantages of working in a highly distributed virtual environment? 1. Learn and use ground-breaking technologies.
2. Troubleshoot application deployments, recreate customer issues, build proof of concept applications. Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs.
3. Build and maintain Cloud Formation templates and shell scripts to automate and deploy AWS resources and configuration changes.
4. Collaborate and help build utilities and tools for internal use that enable you and your fellow AWS Engineers to operate safely at high speed and wide scale.
5. Leverage your day-to-day experiences to provide the voice of the customer to internal AWS teams.
6. Drive customer communication during critical events.
7. Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the AWS customer community.
8. Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that will span multiple AWS services.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 1+ years of relevant experience and troubleshooting experience to resolve straightforward Linux and network related technical problems.
* Troubleshoot basic connectivity problems across the different layers of the OSI model from the Linux standpoint of view using tools like ping, traceroute, ifconfig, tcpdump, etc.
* Basic understanding of Networking fundamentals like CIDR notations, OSI model, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH, TCP, routing, switching, subnets, ACLs, NAT. Perform basic networking administration tasks like being able to connect an individual PC to the network/internet and set FW rules.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or IT related discipline.
* Experience with AWS or other Cloud technology.
* Other programming languages (Python, Java, C++, C#, Ruby, Bash, and PowerShell).
* Experience with virtualization technologies (Hypervisors, VMware, Xen).
* Experience managing full 3-tier architecture (Presentation, Application, and Data tier).
