Fire Engineers manage and deliver fire engineering projects to clients. You'll present findings through reports and also peer review reports from other members of the technical team, playing a vital part in the technical side of the business.
Main Duties
* Deliver and manage fire engineering projects
* Provide fire risk assessments to a wide range of structures and risk groups
* Presentation of findings, reports and workshops
* Complete fee quotes, PQQ and ITT submissions for fire safety tenders
* Work individually and part of a team to win or deliver projects
* Work directly with clients in an outward facing role
* Ensure projects are suitably invoiced
* Promote and ensure technical excellence
* Attend client meetings and provide fee proposals as required
* Provide technical guidance and provide advice for clients as appropriate
* Provide technical advice to employees and associates of the company
* Support ISO 9001.2015 readiness
Key Skills and Requirements
* MSc Fire Engineering degree or BEng/BSc degree
* AIFireE/FRM Accreditation
* IEng/application in process
* Typically 2+ years' experience in a consultancy or similar environment
* Knowledge and experience of UK fire safety legislation and standards
* Clear understanding of the total fire concept - from client brief through to construction and operation
* Development and implementation of fire strategies, projects and research initiatives
* Possess excellent report writing and communication skills
* Ability to multi-task - you will be required to work on multiple projects concurrently, juggling multiple demands
* Proven ability to work remotely, both individually and as part of a team
* Proven ability to develop a network of clients and colleagues at PartB and outside the company
* Understand and manage the scope and relevant programme constraints of projects
* Flexible and adaptable during company growth
