What’s the Role and Service?
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Shop Manager to join our team in the Barnardos Wexford Shop.
What will my day to day look like?
As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will have the responsibility for managing the shop in an efficient manner, and to maximise profit to support Barnardos’ work with children and families.
* Assisting the Shop Manager in recruitment, training and appraisal of volunteers and community employment staff.
* Maintaining a positive, professional and happy atmosphere with particular regard to customer and donor service.
* Assisting the Manager in maintaining best quality stock on sales floor and all processing of deliveries. Ensuring daily retail standards are met and maintained.
* Ensuring shop staffing and rota is adequate to the needs of the business.
* Ensure all window display and merchandising is completed to the highest standard.
* Taking full responsibility for management of the shop in the Manager’s absence.
What experience do I need?
* Previous supervisory experience is not essential; however the ability to support the Manager in all aspects of the operation is required.
* Sales/fashion experience is desirable.
