Our client is offering you the opportunity to work as part of their Group Finance Team in Galway as a Financial Accountant where you will gain budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting exposure in a business that has surpassed €1.5 billion in sales.
With new acquisitions being added to the group, ongoing process improvements and a vibrant 30 person finance team in Galway, its the ideal opportunity for you as a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1-5 years PQE to take the next step in your career.
Group accounting This is a varied position where you are involved in month-end activities for Irish, UK, German and Netherlands entities as you collaborate with local teams in each country who prepare and post journals and perform reconciliations for you to review.
The entities contain warehouses, retail outlets and online sales giving you exposure to inventory accounting and analysis of cost of sales to help maintain the companys profit margin.
Each year you will participate in budget preparation and you will partner with department heads monthly to help them manage costs.
Forecasting occurs in Q3 each year which you will also participate in.
You will prepare year-end statutory financial accounts including consolidation of group accounts which will develop your technical accounting skills.
With ongoing process improvement projects, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, this is a broad role that gives you fantastic exposure.
Package & rewards For a Qualified Accountant with 1-5 years PQE you will receive a package of €70,000-€80,000 including base salary, generous pension contribution of 7.5%, hybrid working, life assurance and maternity and paternity cover.
With this companys ongoing growth you will continue to get exposure beyond your day-to-day job including integrating new companies that the group acquire and automation projects with the Finance Director.
