Role: Senior Reporting & Process Accountant
Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Reporting & Process Accountant to join our client, a Large Insurance Company, based in Dublin City. This role is 2 Days in the office and will report directly into the Head of Finance.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years PQE and have experience within Insurance or Financial Services. You will have the chance to take a key role in designing and implementing accounting and reporting systems and processes.
Your Role:
* Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly Group reporting packs.
* Prepare, validate, and report quarterly and annual figures to the CBI.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and presentations.
* Oversee month-end close procedures, including journal entries and analysis.
* Prepare monthly control accounts and reconcile month-end balances to the general ledger.
* Design and maintain a robust set of controls over all processes, ensuring compliance with Group and local policies, and ensure appropriate documentation and evidence.
* Ensure adherence to group guidance and accounting, industry, and regulatory standards in the delivery of financial information.
* Support annual statutory financial disclosure reporting.
* Coordinate interactions with the statutory auditor.
Your Skills:
* Qualified accountant with 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
* Strong technical and industry knowledge, with prior experience in regulatory reporting.
* Demonstrated expertise in change management and communications.
* Experience in implementing changes to business processes, technologies, and systems.
* Proven experience in project teams and executing change programmes.
* Strong oral communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with a practical approach to problem-solving.
* Strong knowledge of MS Office and general proficiency in IT systems.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team and meet tight deadlines.
* Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
