The onsemi Ireland Design Centre in Limerick has an opening for a Design Evaluation Engineer. This role will involve researching technical requirements, developing measurement systems, validating product functionality and performance, and ensuring our products meet all specifications. You will collaborate with the new product development team to create a characterisation plan that allows the complete evaluation of new products to ensure they meet all functionality and datasheet specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
* Research product electrical requirements and develop a bench characterization plan to validate performance over necessary process, voltage, or temperature variants.
* Development of mixed-signal measurement techniques.
* PCB Design to allow identified measurements and characterization to be made.
* LabView and/or Python software development to supply stimulus, capture, and process responses from the device.
* Debug of silicon issues to root cause.
* Pre-Silicon verification of the design using simulation tools and FPGA.
* Generation of reports on silicon performance for the new product development team.
To succeed in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering field. A minimum of 3-10 years of experience in a relevant technical position is also required, demonstrating your capabilities and performance. Additionally, strong understanding of fundamental digital and analog circuit functions, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, are essential.

* Knowledge of Jama, Jira, and Confluence, FPGA, and Verilog desired.
* Demonstrated history of taking personal initiative to resolve issues and drive for results.
