Sr. Director - Statistics, Data and Analytics

Job Overview:
The Sr. Director role provides strategic leadership to all assets within the portfolio under Discovery & Development (i.e., non-clinical), Immunology, Diabetes and Complications, Neuroscience, CM&C or Oncology, Advanced Analytics and Access) Strategy and Capabilities.
Main Responsibilities:
* People Management:
o Coach and mentor staff for excellence
o Accountable for overall performance of direct reports
o Direct employee career development
o Provide leadership and direction to staff regarding departmental policies, organizational goals, objectives, performance management and company policies
o Ensure staff members receive appropriate training to perform their jobs
o Recruit, hire, and on-board new staff
* Develop, Implement and Manage Statistical and Data Management Leadership:
o Proactive leadership development at all levels within Global Statistical sciences (GSS) and Data and Analytics (DnA)
o Implement LRL@Cork as applicable to GSS and DnA strategy
o Recruit, identify and retain top talent
o Manage performance to ensure therapeutic area/discovery & development and functional success
o Communicate with infrastructure partners
* Strategy & Priorities:
o Incorporate Advanced Analytics and Access Capabilities (AAAC) priorities
o Integrate local geographical input into therapeutic area plans
o Consult and coach product Statistics and Statistical Analysts personnel
o Review technical computing platform and align with global strategy
* Influence Strategy in Respective Area:
o Engage therapeutic area platform and other regional leaders
o Contribute to regulatory strategy, clinical plans, protocol designs, analysis plans, data flow and disclosures
o Collaborate between statistics and data management, medical, regulatory, Observational and Medical Affairs
Qualification Requirements:
Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics with at least 5 years of experience in Drug Research and Development, and minimum of 3 years of Management or Leadership Experience.
