Safety Generalist Role
In this key role, you will support the operation and its leadership team to achieve best practice safety performance. This is a critical function within our organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
* Control Function for Regulatory Training: Ensure that all regulatory training for the operation is up-to-date, compliant, and effective.
* Auditing of Regulatory Training: Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of our regulatory training processes and identify areas for improvement.
* Process Improvement: Develop and implement improvements to our regulatory training processes to ensure they remain best-in-class.
* Occupational Hygiene Program: Coordinate the occupational hygiene program for the operation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Reporting: Write competent reports of occupational monitoring undertaken, highlighting any concerns or issues identified.
* Training and Awareness: Support operational teams with regulatory training and awareness programs related to occupational hygiene and general safety topics.
* Incident Reporting: Investigate, follow-up, and report on safety incidents to the Statutory Authorities in a timely manner.
* Data Reporting: Provide timely reporting of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual data to Group and Statutory Authorities.
* External Audits: Lead audits conducted by Health and Safety Authority, external 3rd Party, and the Group.
* Stakeholder Management: Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

* Competent Safety Practitioner: Work effectively as a safety practitioner, building strong relationships across the organisation.
* Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Operate in a flexible and collaborative manner, communicating complex information clearly.
* Strong Analytical Ability: Apply logical problem-solving skills and sound judgement to resolve complex safety issues.
Requirements:
* 5+ Years' Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar industry, with considerable exposure to the safety function.
* Regulated Industry Experience: Experience of working in a highly regulated industry is an advantage.
* Degree in Relevant Discipline: A Technical College or University Degree in a Science, Safety, Engineering, or related discipline is desirable.
