Job Title: Engineering Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced engineering project manager for a leading client in the chemical industry, based in Shannon, County Clare. The client is undergoing significant expansion and requires a strong leader to manage projects from start to completion.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage project initiatives within the organization, ensuring alignment of systems, applications, and business processes.
* Develop and execute project plans, objectives, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and performance, conducting regular evaluations and making necessary adjustments.
* Build key partnerships across all departments and stakeholders to ensure project delivery and successful technical transfer.
* Manage the financial performance of all project deliveries, including resource allocation.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that may impact project or business performance.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function, implementing best practice.
* Cultivate and mentor team members in project management methodologies and principles.
* Oversight and validation of projects, maintain the overall project risk register, and provide regular updates on progress.
* Serve as the strategic point of contact for all stakeholders, fostering trust, clear communication, and managing expectations and concerns.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
* Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* Third-level qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably engineering or technical discipline.
* PMP/PRINCE II or similar project management qualification.
