This role is accountable for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the region and will lead a team of Area Managers to ensure that each pharmacy operates efficiently, meets financial targets and delivers best-in-class customer service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast -paced environment and posses a passion for retail pharmacy.Key Responsibilities Include:PeopleLead, mentor and develop a team of Area Managers to ensure effective management of pharmacy operations across multiple locations.Assist the Area Manager team with performance management issues working closely and seeking support from our Human Resources team.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to Area Managers.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork.Strategic Planning and ExecutionCollaborate with the Director of Retail Operations to develop and execute regional business plans and strategies.Work collaboratively with Departments on key business initiatives, services, products to ensure we enhance opportunities of growth.Create a culture of accountability and responsibilitySet the standard, operational excellence, store presentation.Build relationships with local communities, stakeholders, shopping centre management to enhance brand presence and reputation.Implement and promote corporate social responsibility initiatives within the region.Operational ExcellenceOversee the daily operations within the region, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirementsImplement best practices to enhance operational efficiency, productivity and profitability.Ensure that pharmacy management systems and technology are effectively utilised to streamline operations and improve service delivery.Ensure that all pharmacies provide excellent customer service and address any customer complaints or issues effectively.FinancialDevelop and manage budgets for the region ensuring that each pharmacy operates within its financial means.Identify areas for cost reduction and implement strategies to improve profitability.Conduct regular audits and assessments to mitigate risks and ensure complianceCollaboration and Communication Maintain open lines of communication with the Director of Retail Operations and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on business goals and initiatives.Collaborate with other departments (eg) Regulatory, Marketing, Commercial to support region initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.To work closely with the Retail Operations Director to ensure consistency in messaging and communication to store teams on key asks and deliverablesPrepare and present regular reports on regional performance, challenges and opportunities to the Director of Operations.Customer Service FocusChampion exceptional customer service across all locations. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the customer experience and drive customer loyalty.Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity and customer needs. Utilise this information to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.Key Skills & ExperiencesMinimum of 10 years’ experience in Retail pharmacy.Strong leadership and team management abilities to motivate and guide pharmacy teams.Proficiency in analysing financial and operational data to make informed decisionsA solid understanding of pharmacy operations, regulations and best practices.Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quicklyUnderstanding of key trends within the supply chain, wholesale, and retail pharmacy sectorProven influencing and leadership skills.Be a high achiever with determination and drive to succeed.Excellent communication, planning, organisation and analytical skillsOrganised, flexible, motivated and hard-workingExceptional at steering cross functional teamsA passion for achievement, integrity and drive with an exceptional desire to make things happen.Full clean driving license
