Talbot Hotel Cork, part of the Talbot Collection are currently recruiting for an experienced Accommodation Supervisor to join our growing team. = Responsible for assisting with the daily operations in the department, ensuring that all guest bedrooms and public areas are cleaned to the highest standard, maintaining a constant level of staff productivity and adhering to the Company health and safety policies and proceduresWhat does the role involve?Ensure a high level of hygiene throughout the hotel at all times in accordance with the standards as set out by the Accommodation ManagerEnsure the programme of deep cleans are completed according to the company's SOPsAlongside the Accommodation Manager and Accommodation Assistant Manager develop, train and coach accommodation staff to the standards required by the HotelEnsure that all equipment is in working order at all times, reporting any defects to maintenanceTo ensure that all supplies are used correctly, minimizing waste within the department.
Assist in ordering of stationary, linen and amenity requirementsCommunicate effectively with Reception regarding room allocations and requirements.
Manage the operation of our in-house laundry in line with the SOPsEnsure that corridors are kept clean and free from obstruction i.e.
trays, linen etc.
as per SOPsLiaise with fellow supervisors as to any needs, requests for the departmenEnsure that any maintenance problems are reported immediately and followed up.
Take responsibility for lost property and to ensure that all items are entered in the lost property book and items are then securedEsure that key security procedure is adhered to at all timeEnsure that accommodation staff are allocated their statutory breaks and that they are clocking in/out correctlyDevelop and motivate all housekeeping staff and keep informed of departmental and hotel achievementsFollow rigidly all HR policies and proceduresControl and monitor all staff on duty ensuring all duties are being fully carried out in accordance with Company ProceduresEnsure a high standard of service and attention to detail within the hotel/your departmentMaximise staff productivity and encourage staff motivation by helping to create a positive working environmentEnsure that necessary steps are taken to safeguard Company money, goods and assetsFamiliarise yourself and to carry out duties laid out in the departmental S.O.P.
