Your role is a vital to helping us deliver our objective to create a safe and caring environment which meets the needs of the children who live there. You are key to making our ‘house feel like home’. Our core purpose is to offer every child/young person in our care safety and stability in a warm and caring home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Adhere to a meal plan when preparing breakfast, lunches, dinners and suppers; allowing young people the opportunity to cook alongside you.
· Report any maintenance issues to line management in a timely manner
· Maintain general tidiness of the home (domestic cleaning) and resolve laundry requirements
· Complete errands in a timely and professional manner
· Create a friendly, welcoming and happy environment for our young people and visitors
· Inform line managers of any matters of concern in relation to the welfare of the children and young people including any concerns regarding the behaviour or practice of other staff
· Maintain confidentiality in respect of staff, children and young people always.
· Participate in training as appropriate.
