We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Urology in our Hospital in Limerick, Ireland.
Full-time (37.5 hours per week) | Permanent | ResponsibilitiesManage the activities of the urology service from initial consultation to pre assessment and discharge, liaising with the Consultants, Nursing Staff and all other health care professionals and support services.
Communicate results of assessments, treatment / care programmes and recommendations to the team and relevant others in accordance with service policy as required.
To assess, report and respond to complaints from patients and relatives within a reasonable or required timeframe.
Participate in the identification, development and delivery of induction, education, training and development programmes for nursing and healthcare staff and support staff.
Exercise authority and co-ordinate the functions of the urology services for e.g.
but not limited to Bladder instillations, Urodynamic pressure flow and uroflow testing, female and male catheterisation, self-catheterisation training and Lithotripsy service.
Provide staff leadership and motivation which is conducive to good working relations and work performance.
RequirementsBe registered in the General Division of register of Nurses held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).A minimum of 5 years post registration experience in an acute hospital setting, in the last 5 years.
A minimum of 12 months relevant experience in the specialist care of Urology patients in a fast-paced environment.
Hold a relevant Post Graduate Clinical Qualification in UrologyStrong 'people management' and change management experience.
