The Purpose of This Role:
As a Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure), you will collaborate with teams to evaluate and identify cloud solutions, modify and improve existing systems, and educate teams on new cloud technologies and initiatives. Your role is crucial in providing technical leadership, designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems to drive efficiency and reliability in deployment solutions and operational tasks through automation.
The Skills You Bring:
1. Cloud Expertise: 5-6 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on Azure.
2. Vendor Management: Proven experience working with and managing third-party suppliers and service providers in a multi-vendor environment.
3. Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with Azure & AWS Cloud Adoption Frameworks, Azure Landing Zone patterns, and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
4. Industry Experience: Experience in medium to large-scale organizations, with prior experience in the Utilities sector being an advantage.
5. Technical Skills: Proficiency in automating deployment services via Infrastructure as Code solutions (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
6. Networking & Security: Strong knowledge of Networking, Information Security, and API Management concepts.
7. Data Management: Expertise in data management using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
8. Certifications: Hold one or more certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect.

12. Document: Create and maintain essential documentation such as Network Topology, Solution Architecture diagrams, and Integration Catalogues.
13. Govern: Establish architectural policies and principles that embed security and privacy by design, ensuring new solutions adhere to these standards.
14. Optimize: Monitor and optimize the use of cloud services to balance performance, manage costs, and address business risks.
