Site Manager Role Overview
Main Purpose of the Role:
The primary objective of this position is to manage a site workforce with the utmost care and diligence, adhering to the highest standards of safety, quality, and timeliness. This involves ensuring that all construction operations on the designated site comply with building regulations and adhere to specified design information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily construction activities on-site.
2. Evaluate work against building regulations and specifications.
3. Collaborate with appointed Safety Managers to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols.
4. Coordinate site activities and supervise nominated sub-contractors.
5. Liaise with Head Office to arrange material and labor deliveries according to requirements.
6. Perform regular safety checks and verify compliance among appointed sub-contractors.
7. Monitor construction timelines and facilitate subcontractors in executing their tasks as per contractual programs.
8. Conduct quality checks at various build stages and guarantee QA assessments are being conducted.
9. Liaise with Local Authority representatives and assigned Certifiers for phased handovers.
10. Address any day-to-day issues hindering progress.
11. Maintain close communication with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, junior staff, and external utility companies.
12. Provide regular updates and reports to Head Office regarding project progression.
13. Liaise with clients to inform them of ongoing progress and upcoming milestones.
