Exciting Opportunity for a Facilities Engineer to join Leading Medical Device Company in Tipperary
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for monitoring the utilization of energy on-site to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
2. Supporting the Corporate Sustainability Programs particularly where they impact the utilisation of energy on site.
3. Liaising with Site Finance & Corporate Finance to predict and monitor utilities budgets.
4. Ensuring that opportunities to avail of Government Supported Schemes to encourage efficient use of energy are reviewed and implemented where applicable.
5. Work with the site EHS Team to provide required energy information to ensure compliance with corporate and local legislative programs.
6. Identify opportunities for energy reduction and prepare a submission for capital funding. On receipt of such funding manage each project to deliver agreed milestones.
7. Support the reliability engineering programs for Facilities assets including assessment of asset/system performance, monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues, and determining future capital spend requirements.
Education and Experience:
8. National Framework of Qualifications level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline. 2+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
9. Previous experience in a similar role.
10. Exposure to the requirements and operation of ISO50001 would be beneficial.
11. Exercises authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays and may result in the allocation of additional resources.
