Role Purpose
You will practice within the Codes of Practice, Rules and Guidelines set out by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and comply with the policies and procedures of Blackrock Clinic.
The development and promotion of high standards of clinical practice and skills in the area of specialty.
Contributing to a structure process for education of colleagues, post-graduates and other health professionals.
Involvement in research and audit activities.
Acting as an information resource for colleagues locally, regionally or nationally.
Leading and developing a highly skilled Outpatient Team.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical Practice: Implement current best practice guidelines.
* Clinical Practice: Ensure that the physiotherapy service delivered to patients meets professional and European standards of practice.
* Evaluation/Research: Demonstrate leadership in the area of research and advise as required on research methodology.
* Evaluation/Research: Critically appraise the evidence base for physiotherapy intervention and apply it to monitor/change practice.
* Evaluation/Research: Actively participate in projects/research in clinical area.
* Disseminate findings locally and if appropriate nationally.
* Publish within the clinical field in peer-reviewed journals/periodicals.
* Initiate and undertake service evaluation.
Professional Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
* BSC(Honours) degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Dublin.
* Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
* Bachelor in Physiotherapy (Honours) degree from the National University of Ireland.
* Diploma of Physiotherapy of the University of Dublin or the National University.
* BSc(Hons) degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Limerick.
* A Physiotherapy qualification validated by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapy Membership or of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.

Continued Professional Development Diary including evidence of reflective practice, In-service training, courses attended and Clinical Governance gained.
Post graduate degree relevant to the clinical specialty.
