Reporting to the Commercial Manager, as a Placement Surveyor – Pre Construction you will work closely with the Pre Construction team by assisting with financial, commercial and contractual management of projects from post tender hand over through to final account close out.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist with the management of the subcontract procurement process – preparation of tender packages,
tender reconciliations and subcontract documents
* Assist with the responsibility for management of all project costs in adherence with the internal budget
targets
* Help contribute to the preparation and negotiations of weekly / monthly project interim and final accounts
* Measurement from drawings (and on site where required) to prepare, negotiate, and agree subcontractor
and client variations
* Contribute to the Produce Valuation Breakdown Reconciliation for each project (VBR)
* Assist with cost and value reconciliation of all items in VBR for Senior QS’s agreement with Commercial
Manager
* Attendance at client’s monthly project progress meetings where required.
* Any other duties as required by management.
Education, Skills & Requirements:
* Must be working towards a degree / HND in Quantity Surveying or other relevant discipline
* Able to work effectively in a team environment
* Self-motivated with a drive to achieve results
* IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD
* Flexibility with regards to site location within the UK and Ireland.
