Job Summary
:
In this role, you will report to the Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Generalist will support all aspects of employee relations and human resource initiatives. This includes responsibility for leading and supporting programs and the associated administration in the areas of employee wellbeing, HR systems, performance management, recruitment, compensation and benefits in West, Contract Manufacturing, Dublin.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsibility for leading and supporting as appropriate, a range of programs covering all aspects of Human Resources.
2. Inputting and maintaining all personnel data in the HR System (SAP) and Time and Attendance system, ensuring all records are correct and up to date.
3. Responsible for all HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle from New Starter to Leaver including but not limited to; preparation of contracts, statements of employments, social welfare form completion, exit interviews and leaver documentation
4. Responsible for Human Resources filing and administration.
5. Lead / support as appropriate the recruitment and selection of employees at all levels of the organisation in line with the resource needs of the operation.
6. Support the ongoing administration of key compensation & benefit arrangements e.g. pension documentation and employee recognition program.
7. Lead / Support as appropriate the co-ordination and delivering the onboarding process (Connect2West) for new employees
8. Provide support to all departments and business units on, HR data, employee relations issues and general HR support.
9. Responsible for the coordination of various HR / business initiatives, e.g. Investors in People and lead/support as appropriate the implementation of HR projects..
10. Lead/support as appropriate the review and updating of all company HR policies, procedures and related documentation to ensure compliance with the prevailing employment legislation in Ireland, EU and also in line with West policies and procedures.
11. Lead the Health and Wellbeing Initiative, partnering with external providers and coordinating and promoting events.
12. Main point of contact between recruitment agencies and their onsite employees to manage the HR issues in relation to their staff.
13. Leading and supporting the Senior Human Resource Manager on key projects.
14. Lead and demonstrate corporate social responsibility through both corporate and local initiatives.
15. Act in accordance with the company’s Guiding Principles and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct.
16. Compliance to all local site Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.
17. Compliance to all local site company policies, procedures and corporate policies.
18. Perform additional duties at the request of the direct supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:
19. Minimum of third level qualification, ideally to degree level, in a relevant business discipline.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
20. Minimum 3 years previous HR Generalist or administration experience required.
21. Previous experience of working in a high-volume regulated manufacturing environment advantageous.
22. Sets high standards of performance for self and others and assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and tasks.
23. Previous experience in HR Software systems, ideally SAP.
24. Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
25. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organisation.
26. Ability to work on own initiative.
27. Excellent organisational skills.
28. Intermediate competence in Microsoft programs.
