Wills Bros are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our team in Dublin for a major infrastructure project.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hard working with a 'hands-on' approach to work and will be responsible for managing and maintaining all project documentation, ensuring proper filing, tracking, and distribution of documents in compliance with company standards and client requirements.
This role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering processes and a high level of proficiency in document management software and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and maintain the document control system, ensuring alignment with ISO 19650 requirements.
Track, organise, and distribute project documents to stakeholders, maintaining version control and revision histories.
Ensure all documentation complies with established naming conventions, metadata standards, and formatting guidelines.
Facilitate the secure storage, retrieval, and archiving of project documentation within the CDE or document management system.
Manage access permissions to project documentation, ensuring that sensitive information is only accessible to authorized personnel.
Serve as the main point of contact for document-related queries, supporting project teams with document management best practices.
Conduct quality checks to ensure all documents are complete, legible, and accurate.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in document control or records management, within a construction or design environment.
Experience working in a highly regulated environment is a plus.
Familiarity with document management systems such as ACC BiMBuild/Bim360; Aconex, ProjectWise, or SharePoint.
Basic understanding of BIM processes and standards (ISO 19650 knowledge is a plus).Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with diverse project teams.
