Responsibilities Develops, prescribes, and/or implements IT cybersecurity policies.
Conducts cybersecurity evaluations of IT systems to identify requirements.
Assists in efforts to fully automate network systems cybersecurity.
Provides problem resolution in the cybersecurity area by troubleshooting.
Performs planning, programming, and budgeting responsibilities.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
IT basic requirement are as follows: GG-07 One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement.
GG-09 Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree.
GG-11 Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
GG-12 There is no education requirement that can be substituted for experience.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR GG-07, GG-09, GG-11 Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR GG-12 Attention to Detail- Experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been asked by others to review their work or data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.
Customer Service - Experience maintaining relationships with customers, assessing current information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products and services that are tailored to meet customer needs.
Oral Communication -Briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience.
Problem Solving - Identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions.
AND QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE AS LISTED BELOW QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE FOR THE GG-07 The purpose of this position is to provide advanced developmental work experience in the field of Information Technology (SYSANALYSIS) leading to the full performance GG-12.
For GG-07 Qualifying experience is defined applying basic IT principles and practices to assist in providing software and systems development support; providing input to design specifications, testing plans, and issue resolution of an automated system.

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE FOR THE GG-09 You must have experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GG-07 grade level in Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to level GG-07 if outside the Federal Service.
For GG-09 Qualifying experience is defined as experience assisting senior level programmers in the design, development and maintenance of systems; Assists in efforts to fully automate network systems cybersecurity dedicated to customer services.
Efforts to include formulating and implementing procedures, acquisition efforts, and follow-on administration and maintenance of system.

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE FOR THE GG-11 You must have experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GG-09 grade level in Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to level GG-09 if outside the Federal Service.
For GG-11 Qualifying experience is defined as experience designing, developing, and maintaining systems; experience working with customers to determine technical requirements and writing technical documentation including design specifications.
Basic requirements are IT-related experience demonstrating Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving as described in the vacancy announcement.
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE FOR THE GG-12 You must have experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GG-11 grade level in Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to level GG-11 if outside the Federal Service.
For GG-12 Qualifying experience is defined as experience with a variety of analyses and tasks, such as determining effective network cybersecurity utilization, identifying security requirements for integration, networking, expansion/updates, data collection and storage capacity.
The duties are directly related to the development of DoD/DISA and subordinate activities' programs to support automated processing network/systems.
