The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be pivotal in driving the growth of the company's services, focusing on air, sea, and courier logistics solutions. This role will involve account management, building lasting relationships with key clients, and taking responsibility for the profitability of major accounts. You will also mentor and coach a high-performing sales team to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop the customer base across air, sea, and courier services, focusing on business expansion.
2. Take P&L responsibility for key accounts and ensure revenue growth.
3. Foster and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
4. Drive all sales and commercial activities for the Ireland region.
5. Identify and create opportunities to grow existing client solutions and services.
6. Coach and mentor the sales team to enhance performance and achieve targets.
7. Minimum of 2 years experience in multi-national, multi-modal logistics (preferably in air, sea, and courier solutions).
8. Established network within the logistics sector, with a focus on ocean, air, and courier services.
9. Proven leadership and people management skills to guide a high-performing team.
10. Strong ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and lead by example.
11. A customer-centric mindset with excellent communication skills.
