Job: Senior ESG Accountant

Senior Accountant wanted for Global Insurance Company focusing on ESG Reporting -Dublin City
Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join our client, a Global Insurance Company, based in Dublin City Centre. This role will focus on ESG Reporting and will be responsible for Group and Regulatory reporting.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a regulated environment and ideally have some background within ESG reporting.
This role is 2 days in the office and offers an excellent package including bonus, healthcare, pension, and 27 days leave.
Your Role:
1. Collaborate with the business to develop and maintain robust controls for data collection and reporting, ensuring compliance with Group standards and accurate documentation of processes.
2. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of sustainability data by verifying data sources, implementing effective collection methods, and conducting audits when needed.
3. Lead or support the production of ESG reports, both annual and quarterly, focusing on quantitative data and other key metrics.
4. Ensure ESG disclosures and reports comply with required standards and are submitted to Group and regulatory bodies according to agreed timelines.
5. Monitor new or evolving ESG reporting requirements and work with stakeholders to develop and implement appropriate response plans.
6. Offer technical guidance and training on ESG reporting to the broader Finance team and other relevant business units.
7. Support the annual assurance process for ESG reporting by maintaining clear audit trails and comprehensive supporting documentation.
Your Skills:
8. A qualified accountant with at least four years of post-qualification experience, ideally with a background in assurance. Experience in ESG reporting regulations or similar regulatory fields is a strong advantage.
9. Solid technical expertise and a deep understanding of industry standards, with a proven track record in ESG reporting or comparable regulatory compliance.
10. Experienced in change management, with demonstrated skills in communication and stakeholder engagement.
11. Proficient in implementing changes to business processes, technologies, and systems.
12. A track record of successfully contributing to project teams and overseeing change management initiatives.
13. Strong verbal communication skills with a capacity to influence and negotiate at all levels within an organisation.
14. Able to work under high-pressure conditions and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
15. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and maintain composure in challenging situations.
