Bantry General Hospital provides acute general hospital services to the population of a unique, rural, very large geographical area encompassing West Cork and South Kerry.
The hospital is a 118-bed acute general hospital and provides, within available resources, a large range of inpatient, outpatient, and day care services in response to identifying needs and in accordance with the principles of equity, people-centeredness, quality, and accountability.
The hospital also includes a 24-bed HIQA-registered residential unit.
The person holding this post is required to support the principle that the care of the patient comes first at all times and will approach their work with the flexibility and enthusiasm necessary to make this principle a reality for every patient to the greatest possible degree.
