Responsibilities
:
1. Develop and oversee site-specific Health & Safety plans, ensuring effective implementation and continuous monitoring.
2. Maintain detailed records of inspections, addressing non-compliance with corrective actions.
3. Organize and lead regular safety meetings to enhance communication and reinforce safety culture on-site.
4. Deliver ongoing Health & Safety training for staff and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with best practices and legal requirements.
5. Conduct comprehensive reporting and investigation of any incidents, near misses, or accidents, and implement appropriate preventative measures.
6. Work closely with site management to ensure equipment safety and operational standards are consistently met.
7. Maintain accurate documentation for safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
8. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and guidelines from the Health & Safety Authority (HSA).
Qualifications and Experience:
9. Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a relevant discipline, recognized by the HSA.
10. Prior experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry, ideally on residential projects with a primary contractor.
11. Thorough knowledge of Irish Health & Safety regulations and industry standards.
12. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
13. Capacity to oversee multiple sites and effectively manage responsibilities in a dynamic and evolving environment.
14. Full, clean driving license and access to personal transport.
15. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
16. Eligibility to work within Europe is essential.
