Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Engineering Operations & Compliance, this position plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional equipment performance to support mission-critical production objectives.
**Key Responsibilities and Expectations:**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy aligned with organisational goals, ensuring the reliability and availability of equipment and facilities.
- Provide leadership to maintenance teams, fostering collaboration, excellence, and professional growth through coaching, training, and development opportunities, along with constructive feedback.
- Oversee maintenance infrastructure and system performance, developing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs to optimise equipment operation and minimise downtime.
- Monitor and analyse KPIs related to equipment breakdowns, calibrations, and preventative maintenance, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA and GMP standards, maintaining thorough documentation for audits and inspections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address root cause issues and improve machine performance.
- Lead the development and implementation of preventive maintenance methods to enhance equipment reliability and maximise Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
- Degree-qualified with extensive experience in maintenance management.
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or biotechnology operations within a GMP-regulated environment.
- Strong technical expertise in equipment reliability engineering.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
