Position: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Navan
Cpl is supporting our client partner, a heritage brand in the supply of Insulation Products to the Irish and International construction industries. Due to a recent internal promotion, they are looking to recruit an Electrical Technician into their Maintenance Team.
This is a full-time employment contract working on a rotating shift pattern:
1. Week A – Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 6am to 6.30pm
2. Week B – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 6am to 6.30pm
3. Week C – Off for 7 days
To be considered, you must have a valid electrical trade certification or other NFQ Level 6 or equivalent Electrical qualification.
The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be part of a team of high-performing craft and maintenance professionals. Overtime may be required to assist with production or preventative/reactive maintenance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day engineering services in a busy high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Responsible for the Zone/Line performance and overall maintenance and repair of the equipment and machinery.
- Multitask and solve problems that arise on site efficiently.
- Provide cost-effective design solutions for plant and equipment requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
- Deliver a high-quality maintenance service to support production.
- Ensure maintenance works efficiently, effectively, and safely, in line with the maintenance strategy.
- Ensure tool uptime is above 95%.
- Plan work activities to improve Line Zone performance in conjunction with the Supervisor/Lead technician.
- Competent at using PLC for fault finding.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of trade experience as an Electrical Maintenance professional.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Food and Beverage processing, FMCG, Bottling, Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, or related high-volume industries, ideally within a Lean Six Sigma environment.
- Provide key engineering support to a busy production department with multiple high-speed production and packaging lines.
- Troubleshoot and repair damaged or poorly performing equipment.
- Assist in compiling and presenting technical feedback on engineering performance relating to yield output and downtime.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Proven multitasking and problem-solving skills.
- Team player.
- National Craft Senior Trades Electrical or another NFQ recognized electrical qualification is essential.
- Flexibility to undertake other assigned work outside normal duties.
