Activity Coordinator
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team at Kiltipper Woods Care Centre. This role is central to the well-being of our residents and patients, providing a vital link between them and the world around them.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Organising and coordinating activities that promote active daily living and maintain interest over time.
* Meeting new residents, identifying their interests and preferences, and encouraging them to participate in activities.
* Consulting with residents on the activities programme and responding to their wishes where possible.
* Researching new ideas and staying up-to-date with developments in activities for older people.
* Assisting with producing the monthly activities bulletin and newsletter in collaboration with the MDT team.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent.
* Previous experience working as an activity assistant or coordinator, preferably in a care environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* An intuitive understanding of the needs and interests of older people.
* A can-do attitude, organisational skills, and a commitment to teamwork and further training.
