The Department of Otolaryngology
We are the national leaders in postgraduate ENT education, organising weekly national teaching lectures for our trainees, grand round video conferencing, and ENT surgical skills courses running all year round. We also have 300 - 350 undergraduate students being taught every year by dedicated surgical and medical lecturers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contributing to the clinical teaching programme in the junior, intermediate and senior cycle of the four- and five-year teaching programmes
* Contributing to the assessment of students in the junior, intermediate and senior cycles of the four and five-year programmes
* Liaising with heads of department, project leaders for clinical competence and other relevant faculty members in planning, delivering and evaluating teaching programmes
Requirements:
* Possess evidence of registration with the Irish Medical Council
* Possess a keen interest in lecturing and interacting with undergraduate students
* Possess excellent communication skills
Additional Requirements:
* Occupational Health Clearance
* Garda Vetting
* Police Clearance (if in residence outside of Ireland for periods of 6 months or more at any stage)
