We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated EH&S Design Specialist to join our site EH&S Projects team.
In this role, you will provide expert EH&S support for major projects at the site, ensuring compliance with EH&S legislation, standards, and industry best practices.
You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) and advisor to project teams, integrating EH&S by Design principles into all phases of project execution.
GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary role – · Conduct EHS Impact Assessments (IA) as part of Management of Change process to ensure that all EHS requirements and standards are incorporated · Implement 'EH&S by Design' as required for selected projects · Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs & 3D model reviews · In addition support JSAs, noise /IH/ergonomics / WRAPs (machine safety) assessments · Support FATs / SATs as required · Participate in W1 / W3 / Care Custody & Control walkdowns as part of project closeout · Support IA action closure & tracking · Perform periodic walkdowns / audits / programme reviews to ensure compliance with IED licence, SOPs & regulatory requirements.

She/he will have a strong EHS general/technical knowledge and experience in the Bio/Pharma industry, MedTech or equivalent, be a strong effective communicator with all stakeholders.
She/he will be a strong collaborator with a proven track and a strong networker able of leveraging EHS&S expertise on and off site.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience working to ISO14001 and ISO45001 international standards, preferably within a Biopharma/pharmaceutical or related environment is required.
Machine safety experience would be advantageous
ESSENTIAL:
* A relevant third level qualification in Science, Engineering or EHS, with at least 5 years' experience in the environment, health and safety area is a prerequisite for the position.
* Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in both Environment and Safety
* Creates dashboards, power-point presentations and can track and trend KPI's, assembling information into clearly written reports, documented findings or recommendations and communicate this progress in easily understandable manner to all stakeholders.
DESIRABLE:
* Machine safety experience/qualification would be a distinct advantage
