Main Responsibilities:
* Design processes for goods receipts from vendors & third-party warehouses
* Implement business processes for kitting, managing material flows from warehouse storage to production operations
* Support the setup of ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) and VSM (Vertical Storage Machine) business processes and integration with SAP eWM
* Engage with RFQ process for selecting key service providers, including 3PL Warehouse, freight forwarder & Vendor Managed Inventory
* Lead the setup of 3PL Warehouse, designing business processes, service level agreements, and identifying key KPIs
* Support shipping qualification for frozen drug substance shipments
* Introduce shipping business processes, engaging with designated freight forwarders
* Co-develop a paper-free, digitally enabled Next Generation Biotech Logistics Centre, meeting all regulatory guidelines
* Provide daily operations support in receipt of inbound materials, replenishment of kits for production, general material flow through the Logistics Centre, and execution of daily shipments
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement quality systems for Logistics Centre and materials management, creating work instructions, SOPs, training materials for receipt, kitting, shipping, and general warehouse practices
* Develop and monitor daily performance of systems and KPIs, seeking trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
* Engage with service providers and manage relationships
* Ensure GMP requirements and Sarbanes Oxley controls are met for warehousing facilities, including pest control, temperature monitoring, cycle counting
* Participate in Quality & Safety Time on Floor (TOF) audits
* Support RFQ process for selecting Freight Forwarders, implementing associated business processes, and ensuring contingency qualification of shipping routes
* Understand transportation regulations, including ADR/IATA/Air Cargo Security Regulations, to ensure site shipping processes comply
* Foster continuous improvement, process optimisations, and streamlining work instructions & SOPs
* Knowledge of inventory management systems, such as SAP eWM
* Influence storage strategies based on capacity, safety stock, and segregation of materials
* Support and participate in Safety assessments, job hazard assessments, FMEAs relevant to warehouse operations and material movement equipment
* Support change and deviation management within the materials management function
* Benchmark emerging Material Management/Logistics initiatives within Lilly's network and external markets
Requirements:
Honours Degree Qualified - BSc, MSc, or PhD in Supply Chain, Logistics, Chemistry, Engineering, Quality, or related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years relevant pharmaceutical experience
