Network Operations Manager Cork Anti Poverty Resource Network is seeking a Network Operations Manager to work in collaboration with its 5 community projects.
This is a part time position Position: Network Operations ManagerCork Anti-Poverty Resource Network (CAPRN) is a community-based organization that?empowers individuals, groups, and communities to become active agents in shaping their lives and society.
CAPRN is responsible for managing five community-centered projects in Cork: Adult Education Domestic Violence Project Mentoring Programme for Women Parenting Alone Childcare Facility Mature Women's Action Group (a collective of mature women advocating for change) We are currently seeking a Network Operations Manager who demonstrates a commitment to fairness and social justice and possesses a clear vision for a just society.
The ideal candidate will also be able to work collaboratively with a broad range of volunteers, empowering the people within our network.
Role Location: Education and Resource Centre, No.5 Churchfield Avenue, Churchfield Position Type: Part-time (4 day week) Reports to: CAPRN Board of Management Closing Date: 14th February 2025 Summary of the Role:The Network Operations Manager will oversee CAPRN's diverse projects, working closely with each project's leaders and coordinators to ensure they have the support and resources they need to succeed.
This person will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, fostering partnerships, and ensuring compliance across various organizational areas, such as funding and finance, statutory regulations, and Board support.
Additionally, they will embody and promote CAPRN's values, ensuring that the organization continues to grow as a compassionate and collaborative space.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity DevelopmentLiaise with the network's projects to address local development needs, while partnering with like-minded community organizations.
Implement with the projects the Network's mission and its' strategic goals, overseeing and managing key relationships both in the community and with partner organisations.Funding and FinanceCollaborate with the Finance Officer for budgeting and reporting, ensuring timely delivery of accounting functions with the Treasurer.
Identify, manage and secure in collaboration with projects in securing public grants and private sponsorship.
Coordinate with contractors and providers on external contracts and resources.
Statutory ComplianceEnsure data management, GDPR compliance, and IT security across the network.
Maintain compliance with all statutory regulations, including records, charitable status, and financial reports.
Ensure all premises meet Health and Safety requirements.
Support for the Board and GroupsAttend Board meetings, offering administrative support, minute-taking, and backup for the Chairperson and Company Secretary.
Participate in meetings of administration, finance, governance, and HR groups, ensuring they receive adequate secretarial support.
Prepare monthly reports for the Board.
RequirementsA demonstrated commitment to CAPRN's values and an understanding of community challenges.
A compassionate and practical approach, especially when working with community and volunteer members essential to CAPRN's success.
5+ years of recent experience in community development, project management, or administration.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a track record of effectively engaging community organizations, volunteers, and staff.
Proficiency in communication, IT, and social media, as well as experience in budgeting and financial management.
