About the Role
This role is part of the Housing First Case Management Service, working with individuals experiencing long-term homelessness in County Clare.
Our client, a non-profit organisation based in Dublin, Ireland, provides services for people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness in Ireland.
We are seeking a qualified professional to deliver a 'Housing First' approach, focusing on safe and welcoming environments for clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with customers who are or have been homeless, as well as knowledge of homelessness issues and team working.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and service, providing support and advice to tenants.
The role involves:
* Establishing trusting relationships with clients and engaging them in work to move towards independent living.
* Undertaking assessments and support planning with clients using the Care and Case Management system.
* Developing methods and structures to support clients with housing, welfare rights, and entitlements.
* Assisting tenants to create and sustain a home and implementing tenancy settlement indicators.
The successful candidate will need:
* A qualification in social care, youth work, or a related discipline.
* Experience of working with customers who are or have been homeless.
* Knowledge and understanding of homelessness and issues that affect people who are or have been homeless.
* Ability to plan and implement programmes and communicate effectively.
