Clinical Central Services & Innovation
This role will serve as a pivotal position for Clinical Central Services & Innovation, ensuring coordination of end-to-end vendor management processes. You will play a critical role in monitoring processes, recommending, and implementing process improvements, and influencing business partners to ensure a strong commitment to excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and track budgets at the trial level and enterprise level on a quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis to ensure adherence to financial targets and tracking to forecasted spend.
* Assist in the evaluation process of new vendors by coordinating requests for information (RFIs) and providing valuable input for vendor selection.
* Coordinate processes to assess and qualify vendors in compliance with working with third-party standards.
* Oversee the invoice management process, including receipt, review, approval, and timely payment of invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints.
* Coordinate and manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and onsite support to ensure successful execution of events.
* Initiate purchase orders (POs) and track their progress from creation to fulfilment, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services.
* Manage inventory levels of supplies, identify procurement needs, and liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies while optimizing costs.
* Develop and maintain documentation governing processes across Central Clinical Services and Innovation, including contracts, agreements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Partnership:
* Serve as a domain expert across LRL and all Business Units.
* Model the Lilly leadership behaviours.
* Partner with vendors to improve customer experience and monitor performance.
* Collaborate with key business partners in delivery of the portfolio.
* Provide coaching within the organisation that fosters inclusion and innovation, continuous improvement, and an external awareness and understanding.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
* 3+ years' experience in vendor management, procurement, or related field.
Additional Preferences:
* Strong proficiency in budget tracking and financial analysis.
* Experience with writing specifications for data formats.
* A clear understanding in global logistics and regulatory importation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with vendor management software is preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively partner/influence cross-functionally to deliver results.
* Detail oriented and can prioritise work according to timelines.
