Business Development Manager CREGG are seeking a forward-thinking professional for this Business Development Manager position with our client located in Kilkenny.
This is a pivotal role for our client and the Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, forging strong partnerships, and developing innovative strategies to unlock new revenue streams.
This role is part of the senior leadership team and will head up the Sales department.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the General Manager to develop and implement growth strategy - formulate and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with overall company objectives and drives market expansion.
Market research & analysis - Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, assess competitor activities, and uncover new business opportunities.
Use insights to guide strategic decisions and refine product or service offerings.
Identify and develop strategic alliances Cultivate partnerships with industry and state stakeholderssuch as construction firms, developers, suppliers, specifiers, relevant associations, state agenciesto expand service offerings and reach new markets.
Client & stakeholder engagement - Serve as a primary point of contact for major clients and partners, ensuring prompt resolution of inquiries or issues and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
Monitor progress against targets, performing regular analyses to identify challenges and opportunities.
Present actionable insights and recommendations to Leadership.
Strategic alignment - Collaborate with senior management and other departments (e.g., Marketing, Operations) to ensure all growth initiatives align with the companys broader strategic goals.
Play central role in the companys strategic planning process, offering insights that influence long-term growth and innovation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven track record of success in growing sales and market share, within construction industry is preferable.
Strong understanding of the construction industry and market is advantageous.
Excellent communicator with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and presentation skills.
