Powercomm Group is recruiting for a full-time, permanent Tendering Engineer to be based in our offices in Naas, Co Kildare.
The Tendering Engineer will be responsible for formulating competitive tenders/estimates/quotations, taking into account the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation.
They will ensure tenders are well-documented in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
Responsibilities:Prepare all aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation.Technical (e.g.
defining the most suitable technology and technical product compliance).Project management (e.g.
project labour hours).Trading conditions.Manage external suppliers to support tender preparation such as supplier technical product compliance, lead time management and planning issues.Identify scope for design alternatives and value engineering, discussing with appropriate tendering team members.Collect and archive documentation regarding the offer/order and record assumptions and decisions taken during the development process.Identify potential risks in the tenders, quotations and estimates, and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels.Responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and commercial elements.Identify potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluate supplier offers to check match with specifications.Requirements:7+ years experience in MV / HV organisation.A minimum of a Level 8 Degree in a relevant qualification, such as Electrical Engineering.Experience in project delivery and electrical design.Strong understanding of budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.A proactive approach with problem-solving skills and adaptability.Strong Microsoft Office package skills and knowledge.Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.Powercomm Group is an equal opportunities employer.
