IT Resourcing Professional and Third Level Lecturer
Leading European Insurance provider has an urgent need for an experienced Systems Analyst to join the IT Department at their Dublin Offices.
The Systems Analyst will primarily (but not exclusively) be responsible for overseeing a number of 3rd party vendors working on a new greenfield project. Ideally, prospective candidates will have a background in the Life Insurance & Pensions sector but those with experience in banking or financial services could also work well.
Located in an easily accessible part of Dublin City Centre, the role is offered on a Hybrid basis with the successful candidate required onsite 2 days per week (which may very occasionally increase at key project points).
Responsibilities of role:
* Reporting into the Integrations Manager on systems supplied by various 3rd parties (this may also involve data reporting at a later stage in the project).
* Work with the 3rd party development teams to ensure that the system design is fully understood and successfully integrated with existing infrastructure.
* Design/document the data model approach and ensure accurate delivery across all systems and integration points.
* Review all 3rd party technical specs and visual representations of the system integrations, ensuring that they indicate how various systems will communicate and interact.
* Verifying the accuracy of all integrations documentation.
* Review and signoff the 3rd party technical specs.
* Outline and document reporting and user requirements.
* Oversee testing of newly integrated systems, coordinating where necessary with users and 3rd party suppliers.
* Organise user training as/when necessary.
* Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
* Document all system processes and ensure signoff is in place.
* Devise the IT Target Operating Model.
* Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
* Build strong relationships internally and with the various 3rd parties.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Third level degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, IT or other fields directly relevant to the role.
* 5+ years’ experience in a similar systems analyst role, preferably in Ireland, other EU states, the UK, Canada or Australia/NZ.
* Experience working in the life assurance, banking or financial services sector would be advantageous.
* Strong data analysis skills including data modelling.
* Strong technical skills covering integrations, data, cloud.
* Working knowledge of Software Development Project Lifecycle methodologies.
* Experience of writing SQL queries to facilitate problem solving and data analysis.
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, where necessary acting as an effective interface between the two.
* Proficient in creating clear and concise technical documentation and reports.
* Ability to adapt to changing requirements and deal with challenges that occur.
* Experience collaborating with various teams (e.g., software development, operations, business analysis) to gather requirements and ensure successful integration.
* Knowledge of the Power Platform and ability to develop MI reports would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of systems and user testing, with ability to organise same as/when required.
* Proficient in use of M365 applications.
* Near native level written and spoken English.
