Job Title: Senior Policy Officer
The Peter McVerry Trust, a national housing and homeless charity, seeks a skilled Senior Policy Officer to support the organization's operational and strategic vision. This full-time role involves contributing to policy development, research, and reporting, as well as collaborating with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Policy Development & Compliance:
o Assess and improve current policies, establish a review plan.
o Monitor national policy developments and integrate best practices.
o Ensure policies are well-researched, accurate, and up-to-date.
* Dissemination:
o Develop training materials and communicate policy changes.
o Implement and manage a Policy Management System, including a policy library and engagement tracking.
* Reporting & Analysis:
o Develop data systems for real-time policy insights.
o Analyze data to identify trends and improvement areas.
* General Duties:
o Organize meetings, conferences, and events.
o Represent PMVT at external events and foster collaborations.
Requirements:
* Degree (Level 8 NFQ) in social policy or a related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in policy development or research in the non-profit/social sector.
* Strong knowledge of legislation, national policy, and regulatory frameworks.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Salary:
€50,031-€61,118 per annum
