We have some fantastic opportunities for Scientists to join our Bioanalytical team in Dungarvan Co Waterford.
Responsibilities
1. Carry out scientific test procedures on client samples and produce accurate results within an acceptable time frame using company procedures.
2. Be responsible for the completion of the more technically challenging analysis.
3. Develop any ancillary procedures associated with the methods and technical systems used.
4. Support complex analytical testing and high knowledge projects.
5. Perform additional duties or functions (e.g., data review) that will be commensurate with training and skillset.
6. Carry out non-routine tasks in the laboratory or specific types of analysis assigned.
7. Develop and validate new tests and procedures for the company and clients.
8. Complete specific technological projects and write up the results accurately, confidentially, and on time for clients.
9. Sign all technical documents once training in this task is successfully completed.
10. Sign out customer work from the analysts.
11. Deputise for management as required.
12. Keep the laboratory area clean and tidy in both ‘seen’ and ‘unseen’ areas.
13. Provide cover for other members of staff as required and take part in the company’s weekend rota and/or overtime schedule.
14. Ensure that all documentation is completed on time, accurately, and legibly.
15. Be responsible for training, keeping training records up to date, and initiating training when free from work.
16. Update any relevant documentation as required.
17. Communicate directly with clients in an appropriate manner.
18. Liaise closely with the Section Manager to ensure that resources are available to guarantee that testing activities are completed to customer timelines.
19. Review test methods for quotation purposes.
20. Continually liaise with management, customers, and other members of the organization on any relevant problem areas or enhancements to the business.
21. Adhere to all company standards in safety, housekeeping, and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies.
22. Ensure that customers’ requirements are fully met and be flexible to work in any area of the business as required.
23. Identify opportunities for improvement of quality and service and work with the team to implement continuous improvement.
Qualifications
1. Degree in a related Scientific discipline.
2. 5 - 7 years experience in HPLC, CE, SDS Page, IEF & Method Validation.
3. Experience in Large Molecule testing.
