About the Position
We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist who will play a key role in our organisation and be responsible for all sourcing activity for unlicensed medicines business.
This role requires expertise in procurement practices, supplier relationship management, and negotiation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market trends and demonstrate sharp business insight.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive global drug shortages and exclusive access initiatives
* Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in supply markets
* SUPPORT BUSINESS UNIT TARGETS by ensuring targets are achieved each month
* Identify business development opportunities to contribute to growing the unlicensed business unit and the wider On Demand business through procurement excellence
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure long-term partnerships
* Strategic collaboration with external stakeholders, including cultivating MAH & KAM relationships
* Work closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to align sourcing initiatives with business needs
* Identify risks within the portfolio and in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks
* Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Use analytics to measure the success of sourcing strategies and inform future decisions
* Support cross-functional tasks when required
* Ownership of stock from beginning of lifecycle to end
* Ensure price competitiveness against the market while maintaining growth margin
Requirements:
* Commercially focused with a proven ability to evaluate business opportunities and risks
* 5+ years of pharmaceutical/Healthcare/Hospital experience is essential
* 5+ years experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in a strategic role
* Ability to communicate professionally and effectively manage internal and external relationships
* Experience in stakeholder management/negotiation/relationship management/commercial decision making
* Excellent IT and Microsoft Office capabilities
