ESB Networks Electrical Apprenticeship Programme
We offer a unique opportunity to become an electrical apprentice with ESB Networks, Ireland's leading energy utility. The programme provides both on-the-job and classroom-based learning, allowing you to develop a variety of electrical and practical skills.
Programme Details:
* Duration: 4 years (208 weeks)
* SOLAS standards-based, consisting of 7 phases
The programme includes both on-the-job training, working closely with a qualified Network Technician, and off-the-job training modules at SOLAS Training Centres and TU Colleges. You will also receive a QQI Advanced Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate.
Educational Requirements:
1. Aged 17 or older before 1st June 2025
2. Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement - 5 Merit grades or higher in Maths, English or Irish, Science* and two other subjects
3. Junior Certificate - 5 grades C or higher in Maths, English or Irish, Science* and two other subjects
4. Leaving Certificate Applied - 120 or more Credits
5. Vocational Leaving Certificate - 5 grades D's or higher in Maths, English or Irish, Science* and two other subjects
6. Leaving Certificate - 5 grade O6 or higher in Maths, English or Irish, Science* and two other subjects
7. FETAC/QQI Level 3 Major Awards - Minimum 6 modules including Communications, Mathematics or Application of Number and Functional Mathematics, Personal Effectiveness or Personal and Interpersonal Skills
8. FETAC/QQI Level 4 Major Awards - Minimum 5 modules
9. FETAC/QQI Level 5 Major Awards - Minimum 5 modules
*Science can be replaced by Technology, Art, Craft & Design, Technical Graphics, Metalwork, Material Technology (Wood) Design Communication Graphics, Construction, Engineering, Home Economics, Ag Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry
